Gateway LoRa
An autonomous antenna, set up on the pasture, and the network exists where there was none.
On many pastures no mobile network gets through and the public LoRa network stops in the valley. The Gateway LoRa settles the question on site. It picks up the Kraftleben LoRa within a radius of several kilometres in open terrain and sends their data over 4G to écho.
Autonomous, it recharges in the sun and runs without any connection. Delivered with its metal mast and ground fixing, it is set up in the field in a morning. A single device covers a whole pasture, and can be shared between neighbours.
The device
A network extension built for the mountains: solar panel, battery, LoRa antenna and 4G link in a single weatherproof housing. It relays the positions and activity of the Kraftleben LoRa to écho, as if the pasture were covered.
We monitor it remotely. If it stops transmitting, we know before you do.

Study
We survey coverage on your plots and pastures, and tell you whether a gateway is needed.

Installation
We choose the spot with you, ideally at the summit, and set up the antenna.

Connection
Your Kraftleben LoRa flow into écho. You manage nothing.
Mounting guidance
Installation is simple, and the location makes all the difference. The higher the gateway, the more it covers. The mountain top, or the highest point of the pasture, is the ideal spot.
- A hole in the rock, drilled with a good hammer drill and a 20 mm bit, takes the mast fixing
- An earth connection completes the installation
- A rigid fence around it, sheep netting type, to leave the device in place all season
- The highest point of the pasture, clear, to maximise coverage
On request, we handle the installation. The coverage study decides the location, not habit.
