Tracking Prime

Up to 7000 positions a day, 24 months of battery life, accuracy of 1 to 2 m. The top of the range, with no known equivalent.

The Tracking Prime was voted best industrial tracker in the world in 2024. It is our flagship, and the only device in the range covering both individual tracking and the collective management of large herds.

Its solid-machined POM housing, IP69 certified, takes horns, bites and rubbing against trees. It is the tracker of guardian dogs, Hérens cows and every animal that puts equipment to the test.

It also acts as a Bluetooth antenna: it scans the Tag Prime worn by the rest of the herd within a 250 m radius, multiplying the monitoring without multiplying the collars.

Which animals to equip?

The Tracking Prime is in a class of its own: it does individual tracking and collective tracking. The answer therefore differs depending on what you are after.

For your guardian dogs, the question does not arise: one device per dog. This is individual tracking, every animal counts.

For collective tracking, it all depends on how tight your group is. We recommend equipping the leader with a Tracking Prime, then, depending on the precision you want, adding 3 Tag Prime or 2 extra trackers.

The device

The board of this industrial GNSS tracker offers exceptional location accuracy and a large internal memory. Its accelerometer measures activity intensity, which allows it to be classified into four levels, from rest to at-risk activity.

From 288 to over 7000 messages a day, with nothing to set: the rate follows the animal's activity, the device handles it on its own. The versatile tracker suited to all medium and large species.

4G technology and Bluetooth 5.4
  • GNSS accuracy of 1 to 2 m, simultaneous multi-constellation: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou
  • Bluetooth 5.4 antenna, scans the Tag Prime within a 250 m radius
  • Four activity levels, from rest to at-risk activity
  • Internal memory, no data lost off network
  • From 288 to 7000 messages a day, the rate adjusts itself to the animal's activity
  • Battery life of 8 to 24 months, depending on the housing format
  • POM housing, IP69 certified, waterproof to 5 m

What the Tracking Prime makes possible

No restriction. Every alert, every analysis, the entire application.

Every alert

Crossing, incursion, at-risk activity, predation. None is out of this device's reach.

Full activity analysis

Four levels measured by accelerometer, from rest to at-risk activity, and the behaviour behind them.

Every analysis module

CEL, performances, herd fidelity, 3D interactions, Geo-Zones analysis. The whole library.

Prevention system

The device feeds the prevention system and the signalling of the herd's presence in the field.

Available housing formats

Proprietary housings in solid-machined POM. IP69 certified, waterproof to 5 m, resistant to bites, horns and impacts.

Format A-XL, guardian dogs and small ruminants

540 g 110 x 70 x 56 mm IP69 7,2 V Autonomy 2 years

Vertical mounting under the animal's neck. Drill two 14 mm holes and fix the ergonomic plastic counter-plate inside the collar, with its two countersunk stainless steel screws.

Format A-L, guardian dogs and small ruminants, lightened versionNew

400 g 110 x 70 x 45 mm IP69 3S, 11 V Autonomy 12 months and more

Same vertical mounting as the A-XL, under the animal's neck, with the ergonomic plastic counter-plate. 140 g lighter for the smallest animals, thanks to the 3S battery architecture at 11 volts.

Format B-XL, cattle only

680 g 110 x 70 x 60 mm IP69 7,2 V Autonomy 2 years

Lateral mounting on the collar. Drill two 14 mm holes and fix with the steel counter-plate, fitted with two countersunk screws and two nuts facing outwards. This format was designed for Hérens cows and cattle moving through undergrowth: more robust at the attachment and the fixing, it withstands fights and rubbing against trees.

Format B-L, cattle, lightened versionNew

600 g 110 x 70 x 50 mm IP69 3S, 11 V Autonomy 12 months and more

Same lateral mounting as the B-XL, with the steel counter-plate. 10 mm and 80 g less, with a 3S battery architecture at 11 volts, for cattle that do not need the two-year battery life of the B-XL.

Format C-L, universal for all animals

380 g 110 x 70 x 45 mm IP69 7,2 V Autonomy 8 months

The all-rounder of the range. It fits under the neck or on the side, on collars 40 to 60 mm wide.

Format C-L+, battery life doubledNew

430 g 110 x 70 x 45 mm IP69 3S, 11 V Autonomy 12 months and more

Same dimensions as the C-L, same mounting, but a 3S battery architecture at 11 volts that takes battery life beyond 12 months. 50 g more, a full season more. It is now our default recommendation for the summer season.

Mounting guidance, formats C-L and C-L+

The C-L and C-L+ formats fit under the animal's neck or on the side. They suit collars 40 to 60 mm wide.

  • Under the neck, écho logo up, cover down
  • On the side, cover against the animal, the bell acts as a counterweight
