Kraftleben LoRa
The high-performance GPS tracker that works everywhere. On the public LoRa network where there is one, on your own antenna where there is not.
The Kraftleben LoRa has everything the Tracking Prime has: a GNSS accurate to 1 to 2 m, an accelerometer, four activity levels from rest to risk, 12 to 24 months of battery life, a solid-machined POM housing certified IP69. What changes is the radio. It transmits over LoRaWAN, long range and very low consumption, on the Swiss public network run by Swisscom.
Where the network stops, you do not. You put up an antenna.
That is LoRa's advantage over 4G: the network is not a given you have to accept. On a pasture the public network does not reach, an autonomous solar antenna, set on a mast at the highest point, picks up your Kraftleben within a radius of several kilometres and sends their data to écho. You extend the network yourself, in a morning, depending on no one.
That freedom has a cost, and we would rather say it: the antenna pays for itself from about ten devices at least. Below that, on a pasture with no network at all, the Kraftleben SatCom, by satellite, takes over; and where 4G gets through, the Tracking Prime. Before deciding, a small coverage study is recommended: it tells you whether the public network is enough, whether an antenna is needed, and where to put it. We do it with you.
Two ways to transmit, one device
The public LoRa network, or your own antenna. The Kraftleben does not tell the difference, neither do you.

In both cases the device is the same, the rental is the same, and your data lands in the same place. LoRa transmission is one-way, with no acknowledgement: a message no antenna picks up is lost. That is the price of battery life.
How many devices do you really need?
Equipping 10 % of the herd, or any other percentage, is a sales promise, not a result. A figure without context means nothing.
For a guardian dog, it is one device per dog, every animal counts. For a herd, the leader and the animals that wander: 1 to 3 devices per batch depending on the precision you want. On the public network, that is all you need. With your own antenna the maths changes: from about ten devices it is worth its price, and it often makes most sense at the scale of a grazing cooperative or a canton.

The device
An advanced GNSS tracker, accurate to 1 to 2 m in multi-constellation (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou), with Alpes-éco firmware and an accelerometer on board. It measures its position and the intensity of the animal's activity, then transmits. The écho calculators, on our servers, classify that activity into four levels, from rest to risk, and trigger the alerts.
A position every 300 seconds, up to 280 messages a day, 12 to 24 months of battery life depending on the housing. The same level of analysis as the Tracking Prime, all alerts, all modules, the prevention system.

Housing formats
Solid-machined POM housings, IP69 certified, waterproof to 5 m, resistant to bites, horns and shocks. Five formats in 7.2 V, depending on the animal and the battery life you want.
A-XL, guardian dogs and small ruminants
Vertical mounting under the neck, collar 35 mm minimum, plastic backing plate, two 14 mm holes.
A-L, lightweight version
Same mounting as the A-XL, 140 g lighter, for the lightest animals.
B-XL, cattle
Lateral mounting on the bell collar, steel backing plate, six screws. Designed for Hérens cows and cattle in undergrowth, it withstands fights.
B-L, cattle, lightweight version
Same lateral mounting, 80 g lighter.
C-L, universal
The all-rounder. Clamp fixing, under the neck or on the side, collars 40 to 60 mm. For any situation that calls for neither A nor B.
The écho logo must always face the sky. The other way round, radio and geolocation do not work.

The housing mounts under the animal's neck or on the side, depending on the format. Under the neck, logo up; on the side, cover against the animal and the bell as counterweight.

Compatible animals
What to know before choosing
Transmission is one-way. The device transmits, it gets no acknowledgement. A message no antenna picks up is lost. On the public network, mountain coverage varies from one valley to the next; with your antenna, it depends on where it stands. Hence the study.
The antenna is an investment. From 2000 CHF then 10 CHF per month, it is justified from about ten devices, or shared between neighbours. For one or two animals on a pasture with no network at all, the answer is the Kraftleben SatCom, by satellite, which needs nothing on the ground.
