Ethical and responsible charter
What we stand for, what we refuse, and why.
The echo of the mountains
Our identity is rooted in the first means of communication of the summits, the alphorn. Today our emblem, it tells our story and shapes our future. Once its song connected people across the valleys to carry alerts, news and the rhythm of pastoral life. At Alpes-éco, we give the mountain its voice back. Our solutions are the modern extension of this age-old echo, designed to break the isolation of shepherds and protect the fragile balance of the alpine pastures. This fidelity to our roots imposes on us an absolute moral rigour that goes far beyond the technological framework, and takes root in a deep vision of the mountain world.
Defence of the pastoral world and alpine cultures
Exclusive support for free-range farming is the beating heart of our mission. We act for the survival of centuries-old traditions and the preservation of ancestral husbandry techniques, while promoting the dialects and folklore that make this world so rich. That commitment drives us to protect the way of life of mountain communities through active lobbying, defending pastoral minorities against oblivion. We also carry this cultural heritage of the Alps through committed patronage, supporting with targeted donations associations in France, Switzerland, Germany and Italy that share our fight, without ever yielding to individual interest.
Sustainable development goals
Aware of the real impact of digital technology, particularly in terms of resource extraction and pollution, we impose on ourselves a strict sobriety in energy use. It is our duty to reduce that impact by making reasoned use of natural resources. We work tirelessly to develop our equipment against obsolescence, offering the products we consider the most durable on the market. Every development aims to simplify the farmer's life while protecting the ground around him.
Our red lines and refusal of collaboration
Faced with partisan propaganda around large predators, Alpes-éco refuses any one-sided promotion or ideology that ignores the realities of the ground and hides the real damage suffered by livestock farming. We firmly oppose any one-sided project or discourse that endangers the survival of pastoralism. Any project not backed by the pastoral world, or of a purely ideological, political and scientifically unfounded nature, will be systematically rejected. We grant our collaboration only after a careful examination of conscience and a rigorous examination on the ground, refusing any association with intensive farming systems that degrade the image of agriculture.
Ethics and ownership
The information collected through our services belongs exclusively to the farmers. It serves only the management, health and safety of the animals, far from any third-party commercial exploitation. We refuse excessive marketing promises, and in all circumstances we favour the raw truth of the ground.
